Our town Orange is about 260 kilometres west of Sydney.  Our high altitude of 862 metres means Orange is one of the few cities in Australia to receive reasonably frequent snowfalls in winter.  We're a town well known for our agriculture, mining, and education.  We're the birthplace of poets Banjo Paterson and Kenneth Slessor and the first Australian Touring Car Championship, in our town in 1960.
