Very cute, excellent service and great food. After a number of visits I am still excited by the quality of the food, as were my guests despite the small selection. I would use it much more often (as would my friends who have ALL commented on the same issue) except for the wine list! No BYO and minimum price per bottle of $40! It all seems very much at odds with the style of the rest of the cafe. $5 per head corkage or even a sensible entry point price on the wine list would see me almost in residence here!

My husband and I have eaten at East End Enoteca a number of times and have not been able to fault a thing. Food is exceptional and very very fresh. Last night we shared the char grilled lamb cutlets, Pan Fried Barramundi Fillet and the Pasta special of the night washed down with wine recommended by Lisa ….Sensational. The Service is excellant and friendly and the wait staff have tasted the menu (makes a nice change that the staff actually know the food ) Don’t agree with previous review re the wine. The wines on offer are not your run of the mill…they are quality. This restaurant is class well disguised ( you feel very comfortable and not intimidated ). The food served in many (not all) our restaurants and cafes is well well below standard (regardless of the price) but unfortunately we accept it and so the cycle continues. Newcastle deserves better and maybe East End Enoteca will set the benchmark. I wish the owners (who happen to be the Chef and Front of house) well. This restaurant is definately on our regular list.

Enoteca is a refreshing experience simply because they offer an out of region wine list. Sure, I’m the first person to advocate local Hunter Valley Wine, but as a contrast, Enoteca are onto something.
Surely it is a worthy point of difference that a local wine bar strays from the established local wine scene and offers you the chance to drink “oiut of region”. I back them, and further, back their lifestyle working hours.

This is a Wine Bar ! so begs the question why would they allow BYO? Furthermore, you pay $8 + for a very average, uninteresting glass of wine at a pub.
    We applaud their style.
We and our friends are regulars, and yet always manage to be surprised by a new and interesting wine, and a fabulous menu. ( at last visit there were 20 dishes, hardly limiting ) We can drink our way around the wine world, and either relax with a cheese plate or share one of everything on the menu if we like – perfect! The food is fantastic. Cooked with a knowledgeable hand and relevant to a Wine Bar.
There is always a friendly welcome and a genuine goodbye.
We cant wait for our next visit !!!
