Murray’s never had to advertise his restaurant, 20000 cows – locals have spread the word for him. The dining experience is totally unique. Set in an old timber-clad home in north lismore, the character of the place has been retained with its very homely feel – candle-lit tables, dim lighting, exotic rugs and cultural decor, comfy couches, fairylights. I went with 5 others, we paid $30 each for a gorgeously-arranged 3-course meal. We all ended up full and fulfilled! The cuisine is Middle Eastern and Indian in style, the most outstanding combinations of fresh ingredients, flavours and spices I’ve experienced in years!! Leans on the vego side of things, but isn’t exclusively vego territory. It’s always fully-booked on a Saturday… you’ll find out why when you experience the place for yourself. Cheap too – priced on a ‘suggested price’ basis ‘eg $1 suggested corkage p.p.’
