    After an exhausting bushwalk we wandered up to Lilianfels for a refreshing ale. The lounge was the perfect spot. We were not the only ones who thought so. By 3pm the lounge was quite full with people reading books and newspapers over a cup of tea or something stronger.The atmosphere is refined as one would expect – the staff formal but the service was excellent. Cannot comment on the accommodation but enjoyed our brief stay.

    We had a similar experience, trooping in after some walking, although we were taking shelter from the rain and fog! It has great service, everything is done really well, but it is expensive.
