A beautiful garden and a sweet, rustic house. However, otherwise disappointing for various reasons: 1) breakfast: despite the advertisement and menu stating a cooked breakfast, we were only permitted mueslie (that was full of weevils!!) OR cornflakes, fruit, croissant and helgas bread from the freezer with weak coffee (2 spoons in a large plunger, which upon requesting a stronger brew we were first ignored then on second request, scolded for asking). 2) the menu cost, despite being sent one menu, there was another attached At the bottom of the same email which we missed until returning to review. The new menu had a 30% price increase (eg main meal from $25 to $33) and when we questioned this (as had only read and printed the menus attached to the directions to get to the place rather that the one at the end of the email), we were scolded again for not reading our email and there was a refusal to compromise. 3) the food. Despite an Inhouse chef, the steak was practically raw (we requested medium rare) and the lamb cutlets and veges over done…(this would be more tolerable if the price was cheaper!) 4) the lack of farm stay engagement: our kids got to view a few animals in the back yard yet it was promoted as a working farm experience (eg we never saw any the cattle or sheep, other than a couple of lame sheep in the back yard. These are just some of the many issues. Very dissapointing.
