    Hi,

Had my exhaust fitted with Roadway – when I inspected their work – I noticed heatshields missing from the turbo, manifold heat shield cracked during removal, exhaust sensor plug shattered during removal, and the dump pipe bolts were only finger tight! Very disappointed in their work as I have previously heard good reviews about them. Will never take my car back there again. Also, when I came to pick my car up, it was parked out the back of their workshop with keys already ignition ready for anyone to just walk by and steal it.

Hardly worth losing your car over a few hundred dollars, take it somewhere else with professionals.

I had the same problem, I gave the young bloke there my car keys for an exhaust job and he walked up to my car, wound the window down, and left the keys in my ignition!

If it was in the actual workshop I wouldn’t have minded so much. But this was out the back on the street behind a 2 metre wall, completely out of sight.

I also had a BOV adaptor for my WRX made up there and they didn’t even bother to clean all of the metal filings out of it or paint it. Then the angle was completely off and it hit the bonnet. This was after I left the car there for them to measure it up. They did fix it tho, it cost me another $20 for the privilege to fix their mistake.

A tip is to deal with the boss and not that fat kid that mops around – and you might actually get your work done right.

I can’t believe the lack of standards for a car business. It has been a long time since I have seen this level of incompetence. The young fella working there should be trained in customer service. When I dropped our ute off for an exhaust repair there was no commuication between staff. Again the car was left out, window down and keys in the ignition. No work was done and I had to contact them as they accepted no responsibility for getting a contact number from us. I will not and would not recommend this business to anyone.

^ I had the same problem as above with security. Left my 200sx (with an expensive sound system) for them to make up a $100 air intake pipe. The young apprentice left it out on the back road – windows down, keys in the ignition – it’s only a matter of time until someone’s car gets stolen there.

I was reluctant to leave my car with them for only $100 job but they insisted it was necessary because they to measure the space in the engine bay.

When I came back the pipe was at the wrong angle, the diameter was 1/2 an inch smaller and did not meet up to the airfilter. It was a clear that it was a 10 minute rush job at the end of the day. They claim to be interested in all jobs big and small for clearly they don’t.

I was told to bring it back if I had any problems, but when I did the only person around was the young worker and he asked for more money again – another $30. I doubt it even made it to the till. And still it was the wrong size and angle. Ended up in the bin.

I hope Roadway improves their security and customer service. Lots of people like to support local businesses – but when you could lose your car for a minor job – it makes more sense going elsewhere.

Glenn (the owner) has just fitted an exhaust system on my REX and I couldn’t be happier. Extremely friendly and great customer service.
I have been a customer for years and have always found Roadway Exhausts great to deal with. I agree that the young guy that works in the shop has a lot to learn about customer service but hey who doesn’t. He will learn. Deal with Glenn until the young guy has more experience.
I will be a customer in the future and have no hesitation recommending Roadway Exhausts.
    Glenn is very very good.
