One of the funniest local stories for a while, the mayor of Mount Isa calls for “beauty challenged” women.  And this was only the start.  In a spray that a Sir Les Patterson script writer would have said was too tacky the Mayor launched into a call for women to Mount Isa.  He seemed to stumble into every politically incorrect call for more women.  Apparently the ugly women of Mount Isa are happy either in anticipation of the night to come, or from memories of the previous night.     He asks for beauty challenged women because the blokes in the town are not too picky. I can’t imagine the women of the town are all that happy with all of this.  Let’s see what happens when he’s up for re-election.
