For a breakfast and lunch in Ballina Twenty Nine Restaurant & Bar is open 7 days a week with great specials every day. Twenty Nine Restaurant & Bar is available for dinner meetings, special functions and weddings. Andrew Habner or Ben Evans are both happy to assist you with any enquiries.

Our special pastry chef Bev Foltran is responsible for the delightful selection of cakes and cookies in both cafes. All the cakes are homemade and the selection varies from day to day. You will always find something different and unusual as Bev loves to experiment with seasonal fruits and ingredients.

Twenty Nine Restaurant & Bar Location

Situated on the scenic Richmond River at the cherry St end of Fawcett St, Twenty Nine Restaurant & Bar provides a spectacular destination regardless of the weather.

Mirrored feature walls reflect the view giving a great outlook from anywhere in the restaurant.

The outdoor balcony area is wonderful on mild days and balmy nights. Watching the sunset over the Coolgardie hills behind the beautiful Richmond River is a great north coast sight.

The simple elegant décor lends itself to casual daytime dining and at night captures a great ambience for dinner and drinks.
Local Fresh Produce

Our chefs use the best of local ingredients with herbs freshly picked from local herb gardens.

Coffee and cakes are available all day, with cakes and cookies made by our own chef Bev Foltran. This talented lady comes up with something different each week and keeps up a never ending supply of tempting treats.

Every time I travel to Ballina, I always make a point of dropping in to Cafe 29. It has great coffee and food, the view is unsurpassed in Ballina and the service is always friendly. Best of all it is has the ambience which allows me to conduct successful meetings and do business with my clients.

I’ve been to this place many times. It’s always been raining for some reason. Anyway this is a nice cafe. On the water, in a quiet street so you can always find a park and the food and the coffee are pretty good. The staff are nice and it’s an easy place to have a quick coffee or spend a few hours.

Cafe 29 is my pick of restaurant experiences in Ballina, offering consistent service and fantastic food served at a picturesque riverside location. The staff are always friendly and attentive, no matter what you’re there for, be it just a coffee, a light lunch or a fabulous degustation dinner.
