I went to the museum with hubby last week. There is so much to see that you should allow at least an hour in order to give the collection a decent look over.

We went along to see the 90 year old but only recently developed images taken by WW1 veteran John William (Jack) Grinton of his experiences during the great war. It was quite moving.

The volunteer who we spoke to was a pleasant fellow who made us welcome.

At only a gold coin donation this museum is definitely worth a visit or two.

  • Part of a larger exhibition

Just read in the local paper that the photos taken by Jack Grinton will be part of a larger display for ANZAC Day 2009 and will be held at the Bendigo Art Gallery. It is a collaboration between the City of Greater Bendigo, Bendigo RSL, Eaglehawk Heritage Society and Jack Grinton’s family
