Ho, ho, ho, touche … I don’t suppose you like moose hunting and right-wing politics? ;)

I am reminded of that old chestnut: “No matter who you vote for, you always end up with a politician.” I don’t know if any of these guys are truly able to work in the public interest – either the role attracts a certain kind of person, or they all have to compromise beyond all belief once they get into office.

Continuing down the cynical route, anyone else thrilled to death about council elections next weekend? When will they do something about all the layers of government we have in Australia?

I have to say, it takes a bit away to have only heat swims in the pool at night – I used to like having things build up to the finals to finish each night’s broadcast. But at least the Yanks are happy…
