Wollongong

OurPatch has been awarded the prestigious Regional Business Enterprise Award for 2008.
Thank you all for your great support.

We call it the Gong but our town Wollongong is the 3rd largest city in NSW.  It's believed the name Wollongong means "sound of the sea".  We're a regional centre for the local South Coast fishing industry.  Our long history of mining and industry, means we have coal mines, steelworks and an industrial port.  Our University of Wollongong, which attracts many international students each year.  We have two Regional Cathedrals, and numerous churches of many denominations including the well-known land-mark, the Nan Tien Buddhist Temple.  Our town is growing and there are plenty of local issues to discuss in the Wollongong Forums.  Our local businesses are the lifeblood of the town so if you need to find anything look at our Wollongong Business Directory. We have some great eating at our restaurants and our hotels and motels are fantastic.  Our local representative is Kim Wright, please contact us if you have any concerns, suggestions or simply want to say g’day
