Bathurst

We know Bathurst is a regional centre approximately 200km west of Sydney, but it's also the oldest inland settlement in Australia.  We're the home of one of the campuses of Charles Sturt University, and a tourism centre.   Our town Bathurst is a cathedral city being the home for the Anglican and Roman Catholic bishops of Bathurst.  We're best known for the Mount Panorama motor racing circuit, venue for the Bathurst 12 Hour and the Bathurst 1000 motor race.  We also have the home of wartime Labor Prime Minister Ben Chifley.  Our town is growing and there are plenty of local issues to discuss in the Bathurst Forums.  Our local businesses are the lifeblood of the town so if you need to find anything look at our Bathurst Business Directory. We have some great eating at our restaurants and our hotels and motels are fantastic.  Our local representative is Mark Brouggy, please contact us if you have any concerns, suggestions or simply want to say g’day
