Our town Orange is about 260 kilometres west of Sydney.  Our high altitude of 862 metres means Orange is one of the few cities in Australia to receive reasonably frequent snowfalls in winter.  We're a town well known for our agriculture, mining, and education.  We're the birthplace of poets Banjo Paterson and Kenneth Slessor and the first Australian Touring Car Championship, in our town in 1960. Our local businesses are the lifeblood of the town so if you need to find anything look at our Orange Business Directory. We have some great eating at our restaurants and our hotels and motels are fantastic.  Our local representative is Mark Brouggy, please contact us if you have any concerns, suggestions or simply want to say g’day
